On an average, teens have been reported to have stress levels at 5.8 on a 10-point scale compared with 5.1 of adults. This article will help all you high schoolers to deal with stress and in the process, gain a higher chance to live a better quality life. Yes, we all have done terrible on at least one test. I’ve been there and it’s time for a change.
We cannot fight anxiety alone. We constantly lose faith in God if we depend on ourselves or anyone else. The Holy Spirit has come inside each of us to help us.
1. Quiet Time

Sometimes anxiety and stress comes in the form of dreams. I know how crazy it sounds but it happens to many people. If at least one of you haven’t experience this, then I am a dolphin. Your nightmares can take form of what’s been bothering you from the past few days and you might end up having another restless night ,which would ruin the next day and make you react to the problem in a wrong way and cause another series of nightmares.
I know, it sounds hopeless. But here’s my question: Do you do your quiet time every day? Do you use your quiet time to spend quality time with God?
Its an easy solution; every day we just need to set aside about 15 minutes minimum to spent time with God.

2. Rest
Stress is almost always the cause of overwork. The best way to avoid this is to have a break sometime or the other. Most people would rush and never stop to take a break when it’s needed. Give yourself time and space. Turn to God for help and trust that he will do his will.

3. Prayer
Praying is another way to calm your nerves. Praying is a way Christians get closer to God and understand him. Putting all that stress on God’s shoulders is always easy. All we must do is trust in the one who created the universe.

4. Psalms
The book of psalms is a book of songs filled with Hebrew poetry praising God. It has been proven that reading the psalms reduces stress. What an easy and efficient way to calm the splitting headache.

5. Worry Not
There is a passage in the bible that I would suggest you to read when you feel like there is no hope: Matthew 6:25-34.
25Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?27Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?31So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
This passage is written for people like you. It is written for us to understand that God provides. He is Jehovah Jireh.
So when you feel stressed out use these five tips to calm your nerves and grow closer in your walk with God.
